Inaugration Day

Well, I am late at this too!
I just want to tell everyone that I am so proud to be living in America in this time of history. WE DID it yesterday. There is a black man for President in our great country.
God bless America, and let us hope that things change for the better for our country.
I had my class watch the inauguration, and it certainly was filled with emotion for everyone.
I hope that this is the best 4 years for everyone that is trying so hard to help bring our country out of this one.

Wow, it seems that I go from one TRIBUTE to another. I have great kids and I want them to know how I feel about each one of them. I am now going to do a BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE to our youngest daughter Stephanie. She has been a joy since she has been born. She was such a blessing to our family and so here goes a TRIBUTE to our BABY GIRL

1. She is absolutely beautiful. She looks like one of those little pixie Swedish girls. She definately takes after her Daddy's side.
2. She is a very talented artist. I have many beautiful oil paintings in my home of her art work. She had a talent that was recognized when she was only 9 years old. She has taken just a few lessons and everyone loves her paintings.
3. She is a beautiful singer- she will say no but I know differently. She has performed on the Disneyland stage with my ShoBiz group, and has performed many places. Her singing spots were always down so well. She sang in chior in High School and she even took private lesson. So, I think she can sing very well.
4. She is an excellent cake decorator. She is self taught, and her cakes could be on the Food Network. She truly has a talent. People from all over are still raving about her Dad's retirement cake.
5. She is a wonderful wife. She loves Jason with all her heart. I remember when she was first dating him, wow, she was head over heels and still is this way.
6. She is a terrific Mom. Stephanie will do anything for those little girls, and I know she tries so hard to help them become great women. I love watching her do their hair, or play with them. I don't know too many moms that play the Wii with their kids or the X Box.
7. She does love games and puzzles. She use to do puzzles all the time at our house. She would do them for hours. I know she loves to play games and I think that is a great thing to share with her kids.
8. Stephanie loves the church. She has had many jobs of responsibility and always goes the extra mile. She will help anyone anytime.
9. She is a great babysitter. She is tending 2 little girls and she is so kind to them.
10. She is a great little seamstress. I will never forget little Julia's baptism dress. So, much work, and so well done.
11. She is a great cook. Boy, does she make great things. Her brother Matt lived with her after his mission, and still raves about her food. Yes, Jason is a lucky man. I know I would be having her crepes all the time. She even wanted to own her own "bed and breakfast," when she was a young girl.
12. She bake great pies. She has a talent to make pies look so professional. One Thanksgiving she made all the pies for me, and her pie crust was steller. She even had cut out little leaves and decorated the pie with them. WOW, I do not have that imagination.
13. She is a great friend. She keeps in contact with many of her friends from high school. I know that she would do anything for any of them.
14. She loves the "Nightmare before Christmas." She always loved that movie and even dressed up like Sally and her date was Jack for a dance. She made the costume, and it was so life like.

22. She is gentle and kind. She is very quiet- not like her mother at all. Sometimes I think I am way to high of maintenance for her, but she likes her quiet times.
23. She loves a good movie. She always use to tell me about the movies and what she liked about the different characters
24. She loves to read. She finds time to read now, but not like she did at home. Give her a good Mary Higgins Clark mystery and she was a happy camper.

I love you Stephanie. I am so glad that you came to live in our family. I know that you could of done better as far as a Mom could go, but no mother could love you more. I know I don't get to see you as often as I would like, but there isn't one day that goes by that I don't pray and think about you. I wish with all my heart you lived closer to me.

Angies Birthday Tribute

December 16th
Well, you know how much I like to post birthday tributes. It is Angie's birthday and she is wonderful. Since I don't go over 30 things, she should feel good about this one.
Here it goes:
1. She GRADUATED from BYU-Idaho in Elementary Education. What a great thing.
2. She is a cute mom to her kids. She tries hard to help them, and be there for them. This has been hard while she has gone to school, but boy now that she has graduated, it has been all about them.
3. She is a good friend. I watch her do incredible things for her friends, and she tries to show them she loves them.
4. She scrapbooks great, when she can. Now maybe she can get back to her little hobby.
5. She loves a clean house. The first thing she said after her last final was, "I am going to stay home for the month of December, and get my house back in shape."
6. She loves to play tennis. Here is another hobby she is looking forward to getting back into. She has gone to state twice, and now maybe she can go again.
7. She is excited about being a counsilor in the Young Womens Program at church. She loves the girls and is always trying to think up fun things for them.
8. Angie loves to shop. Most of the time it isn't for herself, but she sure loves to look around.
9. She loves to help Katelyn with her cheerleading. She even played "Suzy," with Katelyn. Very funny.
10. She loves to have her nails done. It is fun to see what pretty little nails she will have for the month.
11. She loves to play her flute. I won't say she loves to teach flute, but she sure loves to play it.
12. She has taught flute and piano for the past 5 years. She does a great job, but I think she would like to forget it, and teach school.
13. She has great BYU Idaho friends. She is missing them terribly, especially her best friend Jerrianne.
14. She enjoys going to lunch with her neighborhood friends. She loves hanging out with Laura and Julie especially.
15. She loves In and Out Burger. Laura even bought her a watch that was from In and Out burger. She loves that watch.
16. She loves to do hair. This was almost the profession she chose over teaching. She loves doing Katelyn's in so many fun ways for cheerleading.
17. She loves her "monkey man." This is her pet name for Michael. She loves snuggling up with him and reading a good book together.
18. She loves raspberries and blackberries. When we had our old house she would sneak out to the raspberry patch, and eat away. She loves Aug in Seattle, for the blackberry patches.
19. She loves to read. I have watched her more than once, get involved with a book and NOT put it down. Housework, kids, whatever goes bye bye until the book is done. Ask her about the Twilight series or Work and the Glory.
20. She loves her soap- Days of Our Lives. Boy, can she tell you all about those people. She has watched it for about 15 years now. She records it so she can watch it at night.
21. She loves her sisters. I know they think she doesn't, but she does. Now that she is not so busy they will hear from her again.
22. She loves her brother and inlaws. It is tough, because once again she hasn't been able to contact anyone except the people at BYU- Idaho.
23. She loves camping. I think she would love to be out in the wild for most of the summer. If she isn't going to girls camp, she goes to swim camp. Give Angie a trailer for that one though, she is a little more happy.
24. She use to love to perform. SHe is a good singer and helped with my singing groups for years. What a cutie on stage
25. She loves to CRUISE. Yes, talk to her about her "friends cruise," and about cruising in general, she would go anytime and anywhere if she had money.
26. She loves DISNEYLAND. Yes, she is another one of those Disney freaks. She really enjoys all those rides with her Dad.
27. She loves crab. I think ANgie would be happy if we could get crab all the time and just eat it constantly. We had a great crab feast in Oregon. Boy was that the night.
28. She loves her Dad. Yes, she is a Daddys girl too. She thinks he is the tops.
29. She is a perfectionist. Ask her about her lesson plans, homework, and anything else she is asked to do. VERY NEAT and WELL ORGANIZED.
30. She loves her HEavenly Father. She loves going to the Temple and loves BYU education week.

She is a great girl and we are so glad that she graduated and now is on her way to her new adventures. Thanks so much for being our daughter and STOP GROWING UP AND MAKING US OLD!!!!!!!
