Angies Birthday Tribute

December 16th
Well, you know how much I like to post birthday tributes. It is Angie's birthday and she is wonderful. Since I don't go over 30 things, she should feel good about this one.
Here it goes:
1. She GRADUATED from BYU-Idaho in Elementary Education. What a great thing.
2. She is a cute mom to her kids. She tries hard to help them, and be there for them. This has been hard while she has gone to school, but boy now that she has graduated, it has been all about them.
3. She is a good friend. I watch her do incredible things for her friends, and she tries to show them she loves them.
4. She scrapbooks great, when she can. Now maybe she can get back to her little hobby.
5. She loves a clean house. The first thing she said after her last final was, "I am going to stay home for the month of December, and get my house back in shape."
6. She loves to play tennis. Here is another hobby she is looking forward to getting back into. She has gone to state twice, and now maybe she can go again.
7. She is excited about being a counsilor in the Young Womens Program at church. She loves the girls and is always trying to think up fun things for them.
8. Angie loves to shop. Most of the time it isn't for herself, but she sure loves to look around.
9. She loves to help Katelyn with her cheerleading. She even played "Suzy," with Katelyn. Very funny.
10. She loves to have her nails done. It is fun to see what pretty little nails she will have for the month.
11. She loves to play her flute. I won't say she loves to teach flute, but she sure loves to play it.
12. She has taught flute and piano for the past 5 years. She does a great job, but I think she would like to forget it, and teach school.
13. She has great BYU Idaho friends. She is missing them terribly, especially her best friend Jerrianne.
14. She enjoys going to lunch with her neighborhood friends. She loves hanging out with Laura and Julie especially.
15. She loves In and Out Burger. Laura even bought her a watch that was from In and Out burger. She loves that watch.
16. She loves to do hair. This was almost the profession she chose over teaching. She loves doing Katelyn's in so many fun ways for cheerleading.
17. She loves her "monkey man." This is her pet name for Michael. She loves snuggling up with him and reading a good book together.
18. She loves raspberries and blackberries. When we had our old house she would sneak out to the raspberry patch, and eat away. She loves Aug in Seattle, for the blackberry patches.
19. She loves to read. I have watched her more than once, get involved with a book and NOT put it down. Housework, kids, whatever goes bye bye until the book is done. Ask her about the Twilight series or Work and the Glory.
20. She loves her soap- Days of Our Lives. Boy, can she tell you all about those people. She has watched it for about 15 years now. She records it so she can watch it at night.
21. She loves her sisters. I know they think she doesn't, but she does. Now that she is not so busy they will hear from her again.
22. She loves her brother and inlaws. It is tough, because once again she hasn't been able to contact anyone except the people at BYU- Idaho.
23. She loves camping. I think she would love to be out in the wild for most of the summer. If she isn't going to girls camp, she goes to swim camp. Give Angie a trailer for that one though, she is a little more happy.
24. She use to love to perform. SHe is a good singer and helped with my singing groups for years. What a cutie on stage
25. She loves to CRUISE. Yes, talk to her about her "friends cruise," and about cruising in general, she would go anytime and anywhere if she had money.
26. She loves DISNEYLAND. Yes, she is another one of those Disney freaks. She really enjoys all those rides with her Dad.
27. She loves crab. I think ANgie would be happy if we could get crab all the time and just eat it constantly. We had a great crab feast in Oregon. Boy was that the night.
28. She loves her Dad. Yes, she is a Daddys girl too. She thinks he is the tops.
29. She is a perfectionist. Ask her about her lesson plans, homework, and anything else she is asked to do. VERY NEAT and WELL ORGANIZED.
30. She loves her HEavenly Father. She loves going to the Temple and loves BYU education week.

She is a great girl and we are so glad that she graduated and now is on her way to her new adventures. Thanks so much for being our daughter and STOP GROWING UP AND MAKING US OLD!!!!!!!

Angie Graduataion

Angie's Graduation

I realize that most of you could not attend Angie's graduation from college, but here is a video of the big occasion. We were all very proud of her. She has really worked hard to accomplish this. The wait is sometimes worth the whole ordeal. It was a great night. We got up to BYU- Idaho, Ricks to the rest of you, and took pictures at the places that were special to her.

Flute Concert

Ok, we have our Katie back tooting on her flute. This is her at the Festival Of Trees. She had a great time, and then went and flew at her assembly. She is certainly getting grown up.

Thanksgiving dinner

Well at our house it is quiet. We only had Angie's family. I wish the kids all could come home for Thanksgiving but they all live too far away.

more cheerleading- flyer kind

You have all known how much Katelyn has always like to go on rides. I think this all started because Matt use to put her in a bean bag and toss her around and around, when she was only one years old. He use to hold her up in the sky and let her drop and she would laugh and laugh. Well, she is now one of the flyers for the cheerleaders and she is still laughing. I am not sure how I feel about it, but she loves it.

Katelyn and Cheerleading

Well you have all wanted to see her cheer, so here she is.

Baby Ella and Logan

This is everyone at festival of Trees in Boise. We sure had a good time. The kids loved all the trees, and Katelyn loved being with her cousins.

Well, This is little Ella on her blessing day. I worked hard on her blessing dress. Amanda found it on a website and I copied it. Luckily my friend knows how to make up patterns because the scallops had me stumped. I beaded the lace and around the scallops and hem. Ella looked beautiful. She is such a special little girl. Sorry it got posted twice. This was a very special day and time for everyone. It is so wonderful to have this darling little girl join the Inglet family. Logan loves her so much. The blessing was wonderful and Matt always does such a wonderful job with his children's blessings. We all have so many wonderful blessings to be grateful for, Heavenly Father is so good to all of us.

Pretty Ella

Well, we are back and running. I think I have this picture thing figured out. So, here are some pictures of our latest little Granddaughter. She is so beautiful. It is fun to watch Matt with a little girl. He is a great father, and Amanda is such a sweet mom. It is fun to watch them be such sweet parents. I know that these children are blessed to have them as parents.

camping with Matt

We had a fun weekend with Matt last weekend. We went up to Amanda's parents cabin. It is right on the river and it is beautiful. We carved pumpkins, and this is Matt's creation. Logan loved it.
I made Logan a Halloween costume. Matt wanted him to be the BYU mascot- Cosmo. Little Logan can even sing the BYU fight song, go figure. So little Ella is going to be a cheerleader, and I fixed her costume too. It was such a fun time.

DEBI'S BELATED BIRTHDAY

Well, as you all know, I am not always up on things. First of all, Debi's birthday snuck up on me. I always seem to remember Matthew's because he was born during the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Now Debi, comes along this year, when I am trying to do a very difficult classroom. So, I not only forget to put her card in her childrens package, but then I forget to post my tribute to her. Good thing she is a Mom and realizes how life gets complicated. No, Deb I do not love you any less than your brother, I just haven't had one second to post this. BUT HERE GOES YOUR TRIBUTE

More Retirement news

The retirement party was great. We started off with everyone going swimming and Dad getting all dressed and ready to go. Kristie's husband Bob got permission from his dept to come to Clark's retirement dressed in the Orange County sheriff's uniform. It was fun to see our two policeman looking so spiffy.  We went down to the city building at 1:00 p.m. to set up. I put up his motorcycle uniform from the Seattle Police Dept and I made him a scrapbook of all the years of dealing with my policeman. Angie bought the book and my friend and I scrapbooked. I am not a scrapbooker, so she did a ton of work for me.  Then at 1:00 the color guard posted the colors in full ceremony.  The chief came and gave a little speech about how wonderful Clark did in all his 43 years of service. He is the longest policeman on record for the dept.   It was nice to hear the words from his captain and the chief telling everyone how he gave 100 percent up to the day he left the dept. Then Clark spoke and told everyone how hard this was on him to retire.  It was very sweet.  After that Stephanie came with her beautiful cake. WOW, what a cake. It was all made out of chocolate.  She is certainly talented. The kids had fun seeing alot of old friends and family.
After that we went to our house for a supper out in the backyard. The kids had fun throwing rocks in the pond, until Clark put a stop to that. We had family pictures and we had some grouchy kids. It was the only day we could do our pictures though and so hopefully something will turn out. I do want a family picture.   The whole day was wonderful.  I know there were a few things that I missed, but most of it turned out terrific.  Congratulations Clark.

More Retirement

Well, this new blogging pictures is a little confusing to me. I hope I catch on, or you might just get a bunch of pictures without captions.  The picture of Stephanie with a candle and cake is the picture I took of Kristie's birthday cake. Bob and Kristie came in on Wednesday and we celebrated her birthday on Thusday.  It was  a fun time for everyone.  Stephanie made a cake out of CHOCOLATE FROSTING and then put 3 balls of yarn for our Kristie knitter. Kristie loves to knit and makes fantastic things for everyone- socks included.  Krisite was so surprised  and very happy.  Give that girl some Graham crackers and everyone dug in. Super frosting too. Steph makes everything from scratch.  The police cake is TOTALLY edible and the vanilla cake was scrumptious.

Retirement Again

Our retirement party was a great success. The kids all had fun with their siblings and the grandkids had a blast. We had good food, friends and the most exciting news---- Clark Made It.
He actually enjoyed himself and is doing fairly well.  If his knee would stop hurting from his operation, we would be in sweet shape. Oh well, they say in another month we will be on easy street. Hope that is true.  Here are some pictures from our fabulous weekend with the kids.  Stephanie made this fantastic cake.  Yes, this is all CAKE.  She made a likeness of Clark sitting on these bad guys. Clark always said that he would retire when they would give him his car,,,, so she did it for them. WOW, he had such a hard time cutting it.

Reunion

Well, I hope you are all set for a fun weekend. We have lots planned. For any of you that would like to join us, we will be meeting at 12:00 at the city annex building to set things up. Then the party begins at 1:00 until 4:00. I have a feeling that some of the kids will want to go to the hotel and relax at the pool. This should be a fun day. Hope to see you there. Love Mom

Family TImes

Ok, so this is going to be our first post. Wow, what my kids have taught me. I went to visit Grandma and Cliff in Seattle.  Grandma isn't doing to well because of her mouth surgery. Carole and the kids came up for a couple of days. It was fun to see them.  Emma is staying with mom till the end of summer. Mom loves her and so that will be fun for Mom and Cliff.  I didn't see much except the house, because Mom was to sick to go anywhere. The yard is beautiful though, and so I hung out on her hammock and I didn't mind at all.

Dad is OFFICIALLY RETIRED. Yes, you heard right. It happened last week on Wednesday. He realized that he had two days that he hadn't taken, (that figures, how many times have I wanted extra days to add to vacations).  Anyway, he was through on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. The last thing he did as a Police Officer was to go to the Melalucca Firework Dinner and then direct traffic. Angie and her family came this year to the dinner and then Angie and I hung out to watch dad direct his traffic. Very entertaining to say the least. Dad had to get people to see his traffic madness.
